“CellFarm(L)” is fully automatic media exchange system. It can handle various cell lines and containers and contribute to the stabilization of cell culture.

• Up to 360 plates can be contained
• Managing the data of container, medium exchange conditions, monitoring image, medium exchange schedules for each plate
• Processing medium exchange at 16 plates/hour per unit
• Equipped with CO2 incubator with SCALE series dry heat sterilization function
• The cell observation image by “CellShot” is linked to the coordinate data
• Using the disposable chips, the cross contamination is reduced
• Controlling Software “AsuRa” achieves the flexible control and high maintainability
• Remaining amount control function allows half volume medium exchange

Stable transfer and high throughput by PlateSlider

• By operating two sliders simultaneously, high speed and redundancy (two multiplexes) are achieved
• The overtaking function is implemented to minimize transfer rate-limiting caused by conflicts or errors between each modules
• Equipped with a plate presence (seating) sensor at each position to achieve reliable transfer
• To achieve 0% plate drop accident, paddle transfer (gripping the bottom) is adopted
• Soft acceleration / deceleration for not shaking the solution in the plate (container)
• The transfer area is maintained in a clean environment of ISO 5 (equivalent to grade A)

System managing software

Control the system start/stop

• Execute the operation level managing by login
• Remote operation from another PC is available
• Media exchange protocol editing function enables to make schedule and protocol for each plate
• Digital control and digital display
• Management and operation functions control each module (CellKeeper, CellShot, PlateSlider)
• Various environmental parameters can be set
• System log function (corresponding to CRF21 Part11) records operating errors, motions, and operation logs
• External data can be acquired by connecting to TCP / IP ( HOST computer is required)
• Alarm device (temperature, humidity, CO2 and O2 concentration, etc.)
• Alerts by e-mail etc. can be sent, using the mail sending function (HOST computer is required)
